Anne and Nelson are such a beautiful couple! The way they relate to one another makes them a perfect and effortless subject to photograph! Their love for one another really shines in the photos too. I am so excited about photographing their wedding tomorrow at Legacy Farms! Thankfully, the weather forecast is calling for a beautiful day too…talk about a formula for success! I look forward to sharing some highlights from Anne & Nelson’s wedding in the weeks to come.

It seems like just yesterday I was with Deirdre and Parker shooting their engagement session! I had so much fun spending time with this beautiful couple and am so looking forward to photographing their wedding this weekend! Fingers crossed the weather is as beautiful on Deirdre & Parker’s wedding day as it was when we did their engagement session. Whatever the case, I know the day is going to be a special and memorable day for two people who are crazy about each other! I look forward to sharing wedding photos in the weeks to come. Nothing says radiant and gorgeous more than the image of a bride with a big, beautiful smile on her face the entire day of her wedding! This was the case with Caroline on her big day and when I recall the events of the day in my mind this is the image I see. And you know what they say about smiles…they are indeed contagious. Such was the case upon Lee seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. Talk about a photographer’s dream! Caroline and Lee’s wedding celebration occurred this past fall on a pristine, October day at Hillwood Country Club! In addition to seeing how families and friends celebrate with the newlyweds, it is always so fun to see the different ways a couple incorporates their personalities and style into the wedding day elements. A few of the fun ways Caroline and Lee did this was by having New Orleans themed elements like a Mardi Gras King Cake (instead of a traditional wedding cake), had Louisiana cuisine and departed to jazz music while guest waved white handkerchiefs that had the couple’s names and wedding date printed on them. As is the case with all weddings the day passed quickly. It is my hope Caroline and Lee enjoy reliving their day when viewing their fine art wedding album as much as I enjoyed documenting their day and putting together this beautiful final presentation! Congratulations Caroline and Lee…may your journey together be long and fulfilling!

Last October I had such a great time photographing Josh’s Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Micah and Studio Instrument Rentals! This was my first Bar Mitzvah and Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah in August was my first solo Bat Mitzvah. Honestly, I had no idea I would enjoy documenting these life cycle events as much I did! Josh has such a great personality and was a great sport with all of the photos from beginning to end! Though there are always a lot of family photos to incorporate, it’s always wonderful when families have as much fun as Josh’s did. These are happy times and there is no reason why families shouldn’t enjoy the documented memories that are created on such a day. As with all big events, having a trusted Planner/Designer/Coordinator….whatever the case…is always helpful in making things go off without a hitch. Thanks to Diane Kimbrough (diane@dianekimbrough.com) the entire day was a success! This was my second time working with Diane and the experience was beyond pleasant! Below are a few images highlighting Josh’s big day! To see more images from this event you may do so by going to the Bar & Bat Mitzvah gallery within the portfolio section of the site.

What do you do when you have limited wall space but want a proper final presentation of images from a portrait session, wedding and Bar or Bat Mitzvah? It seems a shame to let the images remain on a cd/dvd only to get thrown in a desk drawer and be forgotten. Well there is a simple solution for such a challenge. The perfect solution is to have the images displayed in a beautiful coffee table book or fine art album. Here is an example of Mike & Amanda’s coffee table book from their beautiful, downtown, Nashville engagement session.
