Victoria Banks – Award-Winning Songwriter Gets Jessica Simpson Cut

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Victoria Banks is a talented songwriter friend of mine whom I recently found out has a song titled “Come On Over” that Jessica Simpson decided to cut. Victoria co-wrote the song with Rachel Proctor & Jessica herself. As it turns out the song has been well received by fans and was #28 on the charts only two weeks after it’s release! I am so happy for Victoria! Not only is she extremely gifted, but she is also an amazing woman! It really is a thrill to see good people have success in their lives. Click here to check out Victoria’s diary entry. Below are a few shots of Victoria that were taken a while back. You’re a talented and beautiful woman Victoria!

Susan Scharber & Justin Thomas Wedding – Hendersonville, TN

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

Susan & Justin were married on June 21, 2008 at the historic Spring Haven Mansion. Once again I had the pleasure to work with another wonderful couple! One could really feel the love between this beautiful couple! I was a little worried about rain the day of the wedding but everything went off without a hitch and could not have been better. Thank you God! While I really love black and white photography, the majority of images that I am showing from this wedding however are in color, due to the fact the colors were so pretty and vibrant. Thank you Susan and Justin for giving me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful wedding day!

What a cool idea to have a fan be the program that is handed out to guests….especially when it is a little warm outside. I love the color too!

Susan’s nieces and nephews are absolutely adorable! I am officially ready to be a mother now!

4th of July Fireworks – Nashville, TN

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

While I love going out to watch the 4th of July fireworks, I must confess that it does not happen every year. Typically the primary reason is that I do not exactly enjoy the hassle that comes with crowds and traffic. This year I decided to make the effort to view the fireworks from a different vantage point where there weren’t very many people. I also decided that I would take a few shots and see if I get anything cool. Although I was not shooting from my perfect scenario vantage point, I did come up with a few shots that I like. The second photography class that I took was Abstract Photography at Watkins. The class was so inspirational and forever changed the way I see and photograph. When I look at these images I am reminded of that class and beauty of looking at things in a different way!

Fireworks often remind me of flowers dancing across the night sky!

Sarah & Keith were married on June 14, 2008 at Westminister Presbyterian Church with a reception following at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel. Everything was truly perfect about Sarah & Keith’s wedding day! Here are a few of my favorite pics of the lovely couple and their beautiful wedding day. Congratulations Sarah and Keith! 001.jpg

Westminister does not allow photography during the ceremony. I was able to get a few shots looking through the crosses of the doors however.
