Miriam and Jonathan were married May 24th, on her grandparent’s property, in Hickman County. For several months her family worked at preparing a lovely glade area for the upcoming May wedding. Unfortunately, the weather had different plans in store for the couple due to impending rain in the forecast. It ended up raining a total of four inches that day, yes that’s right four inches!!! The sky would open up and it would pour for about 30 minutes, then as quickly as the rain came on, it would break and the sun would shine for 20 minutes. Oh and I cannot forget to mention that there was flooding, on the road that all the cars drove on to access the site! I honestly had never experienced anything quite like it! Amazingly both families remained exceedingly calm and completely made the best out of a very challenging situation.
Challenges aside the day ended up being rather fun and exciting! I had such a great time photographing Miriam and Jonathan’s wedding, which was a fusion of Jewish and Asian culture! Also, Miriam and Jonathan are former art students, so they are a very creative, unique and expressive couple! When all was said and done I think that Miriam and Jonathan had one of the most memorable wedding days! Here a few of my favorite images of the beautiful couple and their Monsoon Wedding!

Miriam wore a vintage wedding gown that was worn by her grandmother, mother and aunt. How cool is that!

I love this shot of Miriam! I love how all of the color complements her creamy skin!

Umbrellas are always great props…and boy did they get used this day!
