A photographer friend of mine recently loaned me his beloved Leica M3 Rangefinder camera for a few days last week. The M3 is a classic camera that was the same camera used by, one of my all time favorite photographers, Henri Cartier-Bresson. Everything on the camera is completely manual and there is no light meter, so it is totally old school, and I love it. One of the many wonderful things about the M3 is that it is very discreet, which makes it perfect for street photography. Last week while wandering around downtown Nashville, I stumbled upon a Pentecostal Convention. When I saw several men, standing outside of the Sommet Center, holding up signs with various messages, I had a profound sense of feeling that I was in the right place at the right time. All of the men holding the signs are homeless, at least to my knowledge. While I don’t know their stories, I do know that they were very sweet about me photographing them. Whether homeless or not, I think that we have all asked some if not all of these questions, at some point in our lives. The images below are my favorites from the one roll of 36 exposure film shot. I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as I enjoyed the creation of them. Peace be with you!

I have never seen so many high heels in my life! I must say it surprised me to see this!

A pretty girl passing by was sweet enough to let me photograph her.

I couldn’t resist photographing these two!

More high heels!

Meagan and Jeffrey exchanged their vows on July 11th at the always beautiful Cheekwood. The ceremony was held in the Japanese Garden and reception in the quaint Pineapple Room. Here are a few of my favorite images from their special day!

Japanese Garden

Meagan’s mom is a cancer survivor, so being able to be at her daughter’s wedding was a huge blessing for all.

Showing a little love!

The first time Jeffrey saw Meagan his whole face lit up. Priceless!

Meagan is my second bride of the year that wore a vintage wedding gown…..how cool is that!

The beautiful couple having a moment!

Pretty little details!

The weather was a little challenging on Meagan and Jeffrey’s wedding day. It looked like it was going to rain at any given moment but we were prepared!

Playing in the water!

The flower girls looking adorable!

Meagan’s mother hugging Jeffrey.

Meagan and her maid of honor looking happy and pretty!

Handsome Jeffrey!

It’s exciting being a flower girl!

Sisters having fun together! I wish these two were my little sisters!

Dad about to give Meagan away. I think it’s so cool that Meagan got married being barefoot and she wasn’t even on the beach!

A bittersweet moment for Dad!

Tying the knot!

Jeffrey reading his vowes to Meagan and Meagan holding back tears!

Meagan and Jeffrey are both Archaeologists so they decided to cut their cake with trowels(I think that’s what these are called).

Friends!

The happy newlyweds!

Fun guests that I enjoyed photographing!

Meagan’s little brother is brimming with personality!

The departure!

Meagan excited for her honeymoon in Paris(take note of the car)!
