Meagan Dennison & Jeffrey Navel – Nashville, TN Wedding

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Meagan and Jeffrey exchanged their vows on July 11th at the always beautiful Cheekwood.  The ceremony was held in the Japanese Garden and reception in the quaint Pineapple Room.  Here are a few of my favorite images from their special day!

Sabrina Crisanti & Matt Torre – Nashville , TN Wedding

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Sabrina and Matt were married on June 7th at the beautiful Riverwood Mansion.  Photographing at Riverwood Mansion is an absolute pleasure, because it provides the ideal environment to create beautiful images!  Throw in a gorgeous bride and groom, the people they love,  and pretty light and you will find one happy photographer!  It really is true that the wedding day passes so quickly….Sabrina and Matt’s wedding was no exception and felt like a blur!  It was such an honor to be the one to preserve the moments from Sabrina and Matt’s wedding day!  Here are a few of my favorite images of their perfect day!

Sarah Williams & Mathias Linden – Nashville, TN Wedding

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Sarah and Mathias tied the knot, on June 6th, just outside of Nashville, TN.  The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful home of Sarah’s parents.  Everything about the day could not have been more perfect!  Thanks to Rachel and her team, with Something Blue Weddings and Events, the day was smooth and organized.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I love photographing garden weddings…this one was certainly no exception!  Yes, there is always an added stress with garden weddings, in that you never know if the weather is going to be on your side.  But when the weather cooperates, it typically makes for a magical day…which was the case for Sarah and Mathias.  I could ramble on and on about how amazing this wedding was, but I think I will let the images tell that story.  All I can say is that the Williams sure do know how to throw an amazing party!

Miriam Schine & Jonathan Lee’s Monsoon Wedding

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Miriam and Jonathan were married May 24th, on her grandparent’s property, in Hickman County.  For several months her family worked at preparing a lovely glade area for the upcoming May wedding.  Unfortunately, the weather had different plans in store for the couple due to impending rain in the forecast.  It ended up raining a total of four inches that day, yes that’s right four inches!!!  The sky would open up and it would pour for about 30 minutes, then as quickly as the rain came on, it would break and the sun would shine for 20 minutes.  Oh and I cannot forget to mention that there was flooding, on the road that all the cars drove on to access the site!  I honestly had never experienced anything quite like it!   Amazingly both families remained exceedingly calm and completely made the best out of a very challenging situation.

Challenges aside the day ended up being rather fun and exciting!  I had such a great time photographing Miriam and Jonathan’s wedding, which was a fusion of Jewish and Asian culture!  Also, Miriam and Jonathan are former art students, so they are a very creative, unique and expressive couple!  When all was said and done I think that Miriam and Jonathan had one of the most memorable wedding days!  Here a few of my favorite images of the beautiful couple and their Monsoon Wedding!

Erin Shea & Josh Hoge Wedding – Franklin, TN

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Erin and Josh were married on April 18th at the ever so wonderful CJ’s Off The Square, in Franklin.  While a friend of Erin’s referred her to me, it turned out that I knew Josh’s father, Peyton Hoge, from the days when I worked at the commercial lab Chromatics.  Peyton is a wonderful photographer whom I have always liked, so it was such a pleasure to photograph his son’s wedding.  I must say that Erin and Josh had the most perfect spring wedding!  Once again, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with another wonderful couple!  Erin and Josh….may your marriage be as beautiful as your wedding day!  Congratulations!

Ember Larson & Aaron Disrud Wedding – Fargo, ND

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

This next posting is a very personal one as the groom is my little brother! I was joking with Ember and my brother and mentioned that the post for this blog should be “my big fat Norwegian wedding.” They thought that was funny! For those of you who have never visited North Dakota or Minnesota you may not get my joke. Let me explain! A large majority of people who live in North Dakota and Minnesota have a Scandinavian heritage and it is reflected in the names. For the record, Larson and Disrud are both Norwegian names. Many people, Ember’s family and mine, and are still connected to their heritage and proud of it, even being a combination of other ethnic backgrounds. Now back to the bride and goom!

Ember and Aaron were married on December 6, 2008 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross(most Norwegians are Lutheran), in West Fargo, North Dakota. Since the wedding was in North Dakota, Ember’s wish for snow was granted and she had a beautiful, but cold, white wedding! Their reception was kicked off in true Norwegian fashion at the lovely Hjemkomst Center, in Moorehead, MN. What makes the Hjemkomst Center unique is that it houses none other than a replica of a Viking ship, that was built by a man named Robert Asp and his family, that was sailed to Norway in 1984. How cool is that! Anyway Ember and Aaron had a beautiful and classic wedding that turned out perfectly! As I mentioned in my Thanksgiving post, our Dad suffered a massive heart attack on November 13th. When all of this went down we were uncertain if Dad would be able to make it to the wedding. We were all thrilled when the doctor gave his blessing for Dad to attend the wedding. Ember and Aaron’s wedding was a true celebration of love and life! Below are a few of my favorite images showing the spirit of the day!
